Inside a Nestora Renovation: From Site Assessment to Handover

A successful home transformation starts long before the first tile is installed.

For this Mugutha home, the brief was more than simply giving the house a fresh coat of paint. The goal was to create a more refined, cohesive and functional home—both inside and out.

From the initial site assessment to the final handover, Nestora Interiors & Construction handled the transformation as one complete project.

Starting With the Site Assessment

Every renovation begins with understanding the space.

Our team assessed the existing finishes, layout, electrical points, walls, flooring, kitchen, living spaces and exterior areas. We also discussed the homeowners’ preferences and how they wanted the finished home to feel.

This allowed us to develop a renovation approach that connected the different spaces rather than treating every room as a separate project.

Transforming the Floors

One of the most noticeable changes was the flooring.

We installed SPC flooring across the interior, giving the home a cleaner and more contemporary appearance while creating consistency between the different living spaces.

The new flooring immediately changed the character of the house and provided the foundation for the rest of the interior transformation.

Giving the Walls More Character

The walls were redesigned with wainscoting, introducing depth, structure and a more sophisticated finish.

Rather than leaving the walls as plain surfaces, the detailing helped create a stronger visual identity for the interiors.

We complemented this with a complete repainting, refreshing the home and bringing the different finishes together.

Redesigning the TV Wall

The TV area was another key focal point.

We redesigned the existing TV wall to create a more intentional feature within the living space. The objective was not simply to mount a television on the wall, but to make the entire area feel like part of the home’s interior design.

The result was a more refined focal point that worked with the new flooring, wall treatments and overall colour palette.

Transforming the Kitchen Cabinets

The kitchen was also given a new lease of life.

Instead of approaching the kitchen as a complete replacement, we worked on transforming the existing cabinetry and improving its overall appearance.

This allowed the kitchen to feel significantly different while making better use of what was already available.

It is one of the things we believe good renovation should achieve: knowing what needs to change and what can be transformed.

Electrical Works

A renovation is not only about what you can see.

As part of the project, Nestora also handled electrical works to support the redesigned spaces and ensure the electrical elements worked with the new interior concept.

This included addressing electrical requirements associated with the redesigned living spaces and other areas of the home.

For us, the finishing details and the technical work behind them have to work together.

Taking the Transformation Outside

The project extended beyond the interior.

We also carried out exterior works, ensuring the outside of the home received attention alongside the newly redesigned interiors.

A major addition was the pergola design, creating an outdoor space that adds another dimension to how the homeowners can enjoy their property.

The pergola was designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, connecting the outdoor environment with the overall character of the home.

What made this project unique was the fact that it wasn’t one isolated upgrade.
